Job Title: Conference & Catering Cook
Skene House currently has a vacancy for a Conference and Catering Cook in one of our three Skene House city centre locations. The position involves working 5 hours, 5 days out of 7, including the weekends, totaling 25 hours a week. There may be additional hours catering for conference lunches as and when required.
At Skene House, we pride ourselves on offering one of the best breakfasts in town, offering a large buffet selection of fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts, bakery items along with some of your cooked favourites, all with a local flavor.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the breakfast buffet, making cooked breakfasts and catering for conference lunches in accordance with standards and food hygiene regulations. You will also be responsible for kitchen cleanliness, ordering and maintaining stock and overseeing a small breakfast team.
The successful candidate will have worked previously as a Cook or in a similar position and will ideally have up-to-date Food Hygiene Certification. You will have a pleasant, “can-do” attitude and guest-friendly demeanour and enjoy early starts and working as part of a small team to deliver friendly, efficient service and provide our guests with a favourable breakfast experience.
