Word Festival

According to the Aberdeen University organizers, 2008 promises to be a landmark year for the Festival with a packed weekend programme offering a range of events with major talent from Scotland, the UK and beyond. Schools' Programme

Teachers and pupils from all over Scotland are invited to join in in the Word's biggest Schools’ Festival to-date. There will be discussions, readings, workshops and activity sessions for P1s to S2s with some of the UK’s leading authors and storytellers.

Gaelic Word

The Word Festival has a great track record in promoting and supporting the Gaelic medium and, since its inception, it has hosted a Gaelic Festival that showcases a family-focussed programme of readings, workshops, storytelling and song.
