In Aberdeenshire you can play a links course one day, a heathland course the next, with a parkland course for the third day. And forty of them are within forty minutes drive of any of our three Skene House properties. (Our hotel staff can help you plan and book everything including transport.)
The apartments come with 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms, in all shapes and sizes, just like golf parties. And you get a separate living room and fully equipped kitchen into the bargain. So plenty of space for those long putts.
7,400 yards, par 72 and some of the most breath-taking views in golf anywhere. The fairways wind their way through the dunes with some greens within earshot of the crashing waves. Standout holes are the par 3 3rd and the par 4 7th, but in truth every hole is a real stunner.
Frequently listed in the Top 100 courses in the UK and VisitScotland's Top 40 Great Scottish Links Collection, Murcar is just a pitch and putt away from Skene House. 6,516 yards and par 71, Murcar has something of a challenging reputation, so be on your mettle when swinging your irons.
Newmacher Golf Club lies just north of the city with two 18-holes par 72 courses. There's also a spacious driving range and short game practice area. Of the two courses Hawkshill is considered a real tough cookie while Swailend is less demanding. Play them both and decide for yourself.
Par 71 and 6,226 yards long, Peterculter is a real beauty. Sited on the banks of the River Dee and set against the backdrop of the magnificent Grampian Mountains, the course undulates along the natural contours of the riverbank. Seasoned golfers or high handicappers, the lush fairways and smooth greens set in fantastic scenery makes Peterculter a must-play for every golfer
