SKENE HOUSE HOTELSUITES: YOU CAN SHOP, BUT YOU WON'T DROP
Retail Therapy Revamp Weekend
We have designed our Retail Therapy Revamp weekend to allow you to shop all weekend but go home revamped, revitalised and relaxed.
Revamp – a style audit and personal shopping experience in the morning, followed by a champagne lunch
Revitalise – in the afternoon, a skincare consultation and makeover
Relax – a spa morning, or afternoon, with a choice of two treatments and full use of the facilities including gym, sauna and steam room
And in-between times – shop, shop, shop! It’s a great time to bag a bargain and for those travelling from abroad the favourable exchange rates are going to make your money go even further.
We organise everything in the package and more - from booking restaurants and suggesting where to go for a great night out, to giving advice on where to find the designer shops, some vintage boutiques or discount outlets for luxuries like cashmere bargains.
The Retail Therapy Revamp break costs from £189 per person, based on 5 people sharing a 3 bedroom suite, at Skene House HotelSuites and includes:
- Three nights in a superior suite
- A selection of goodies, magazines and games in your suite on arrival, including a chilled bottle of champagne
- De luxe continental breakfast buffet
- A consultation with a stylist and personal shopper at John Lewis
- Full makeover, including skincare consultation
- A half day spa session including a choice of two treatments

Shoppers’ paradise
Aberdeen is a vibrant city and is a fantastic place for a shopping break with friends – in fact Aberdeen recently made the top ten best places to shop in a recent UK poll.
At John Lewis, pick up designer clothes for all the family from famous brands including Coast, Timberland and Gant. It also stocks a wide range of quality homewares, electricals and furniture. John Lewis are well versed in VAT-back for overseas shoppers and for larger items can arrange international delivery – that’s if your suitcase isn’t big enough for your purchases. Alternatively, you could always buy another suitcase!
Elsewhere, the city boasts a wide selection of major high street stores such as award winning Cruise which offers a selection of designer labels such as Gucci, Chloe, Armani, Vivienne Westwood and Ugg; Marks and Spencer; GAP and Debenhams as well as being packed with specialised boutiques selling everything from designer to vintage and unique gifts.
When you’re all shopped out
After a rewarding day in town you can enjoy the comforts of your suite. Each suite has a lounge and fully equipped kitchen. With twice as much space as a conventional hotel room, storing all of those shopping bags won’t be a problem.
After a reviving cuppa - or something with a little more sparkle! - you can take your pick of a range of Partner Restaurants, where your meal can be billed back to your suite account. The city centre enjoys a mix of restaurants, bars and bistros offering traditional Scottish and modern fusion food to Indian, Chinese and Italian.
We are also on hand to help you plan an amazing night out whether this be at a club or casino.
However, if you fancy having a cosy night in rather than venturing outdoors, our suites have fully equipped kitchens with a dining area to entertain - whether you want to cook or order in.
A bit of sightseeing?
Known as the silver city by the golden sands, you could enjoy a stroll along Aberdeen’s seven-mile stretch of beach, explore the fishing village of Fittie with its colourful fishermen’s cottages, enjoy the funfair for a ride on the dodgems or blow away the cobwebs with a round of golf at a links course.
Visit the old town with its cobbled streets and sparkling granite buildings or go further afield. On the city's doorstep hundreds of castles wait to be discovered – the area boasts more castles per acre than any other part of the UK. And if you enjoy a dram or two you won't have to go too far - more than half of Scotland's whisky distilleries can be found in Aberdeenshire.
