Gem of a place
This place came as a genuine pleasant surprise. Whilst I didn't use the kitchen much it was well equipped and would provide a great facility for a small family not wanting to eat out while staying for a few days or more. The living area was very nice and the bedroom more than adequate.
The steep climb to our room would make it difficult for the disabled or those unable to climb stairs, but it certainly gave it character! There's plenty of parking behind the hotel, it's well placed for Union Street and the breakfast was great.
All in all this place gives excellent value for money. Skene House Holburn

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and believe me we stay in lots, from the greeting on reception to upgrading us to an even nicer suite to the way which management handled a problem we encountered whilst staying there, nothing was too much trouble. We liked the honesty bar with a complimentary drink ,free refreshments in the lounge, and the suite we stayed in was beautiful with everything you could possibly need, washing machine,dishwasher etc. A weekend was not long enough and hopefully we will return to Aberdeen and stay at this Skene house again next year. My sister and her family stayed at one of the Whitehall suites. It was a present from me as that was the flat where my grandmother stayed for 40 years, and where we all spent very happy holidays over the decades. Booking this was a pleasure for me, made simple by all staff, who were friendly, efficient and professional at all stages. My sister and her family felt like royalty from the moment they arrived until the moment they left. Everything was made easy and they were delighted with the surroundings, decor, layout and comfort of the suite. They found the staff helpful and knowledgeable, and felt they were being cared for as well as catered for. They were very impressed with breakfast, too! Thank you so much for making this a unique present which they will all treasure in their memories. I'm planning something similar for my brother's family...and maybe even for myself in the near future.

i would tell anyone to book at there hotels, it is one of the best places i have stayed, and i would like to thank all the staff as they where all there to help and made you feel very welcome,
