You asked us....Where to find a great cup of coffee in Aberdeen?

And we say...

Having lived in two great coffee loving capitals in my time (Melbourne and Paris), I have to say that I was thrilled to find The Coffee House in Aberdeen.

I stumbled upon this gem as I was wandering down the infamous Belmont Street. Just off bustling Belmont, on Gaelic Street, you will find this warm and welcoming canteen style urban cafe with homely comforts.

Food and Drink: You get more than you bargained for with this coffee house, aside from the best coffee in Aberdeen (my favourite is their cappuccino) the coffee is often served with chocolate buttons! they also serve homemade simple bites such as plain old egg mayo sandwiches, cheese and ham sandwiches, quiche or soup - But, it’s not plain old anything! Their bread is thick and fluffy and the soup homemade and scrumptious. This makes for a perfect haven for the coming winter months!

Atmosphere: I love this cafe’s relaxed vibe, rustic wooden tables and  selection of magazines so that you can while away the hours here. There is also a selection of books, plenty of sockets to plug in your laptop and free Wifi. A diverse mix of clientele makes this place even more interesting.

Handy hint: Beware on Saturdays though, I’m not the only one who loves this place, on Saturday lunchtime the place is heaving with hungry shoppers.

You can also buy the beautiful Bramley hand soaps and moisturisers supplied in their customer bathrooms. These are packed with the finest essential oils, leaving your hands silky smooth and smelling divine.

For coffee that’s perfect every time – this is the place to be.
