Looking for a cool, laidback watering hole?

As a newbie to this city, my latest travel discovery is the Brew Dog Bar at 17 Gallowgate, Aberdeen. I love the mountain ski resort versus the industrial, city cool feel of the the bar. The mix of high wooden tables and exposed brick contributes to its ‘home from home’ comforts such as  board games, TV and friendly messages from the staff decorating the walls. The atmosphere was relaxed and seemed to attract a diverse clientele; businessmen in suits mingling alongside student types in baseball caps and low slung jeans, not forgetting the Norwegian crowd knocking back the fine ales.
