Howies in Chapel Street is a contemporary, stylish restaurant. The acclaimed food has been described as "Scottish with a modern twist" and recognised for its quality and style by all major guides and is, according to Scotland the Best, amongst the very best in Scotland.
Howies offer a set price menu offers two-course dinners from £20.95 and a three-course from £23.50 with house wines from £11.50. An early-dining option offers two courses for £13.90 (tables need to be vacated by 7.30pm). Prices for their a la carte lunch menu start from £2.50 for starters and desserts. Main courses start from £5.50.
Howies use the freshest local produce available, with at least one vegetarian option on each course. A typical three-course meal could be:
Starter: Gravadlax of Deeside Salmon with Pickled Red Cabbage and Dill Oil
Main: Char grilled Braemar Venison Steak on Potato Rosti with Game and Port Wine Jus
Dessert: Heather-Honey and Glayva Ice Cream in a Brandy Basket
The restaurant seats up to 100 guests and we also have two private dining rooms available on request. Both rooms are situated off the main body of the restaurant and are bright and spacious – ideal for meetings or a private function.
