•  Shopaholics are well catered for in four covered shopping centres and there are
   a large variety of shops along Union Street. For those who like a local flavour, the
   boutiques and curio shops around Belmont Street, Thistle Street and Chapel Street
   provide for leisurely browsing.

•  The Beach Boulevard, running adjacent to the 7 mile stretch of ‘golden sands’,
   offers a leisure development with multi-plex cinema, bowling alley at Sunset
   Boulevard, restaurants, and bars. There is also Codonas amusement park
   to entertain everyone from nought to ninety.

•  Cultural activities are also plentiful. His Majesty’s Theatre and The Music Hall boast
   a wide range of international dance, drama and musical performances, and the Art
   Gallery has an impressive collection from old masters to modern masterpieces. 

•  Visitors travelling to Aberdeen with family and young children will find themselves
   spoilt for choice: Maritime Museum, Foam Factory, the interactive science
   museum Satrosphere and Storybook Glen being four of the most popular venues.

•  Stand-up comedy and live music can be enjoyed in a number of venues throughout
   the city, the most popular of which is The Lemon Tree.
